1 Australian, 1 German, 2 Singaporeans. 4 STUTTGARTERS.

This is the AVATAR tree ahahahaha okay not funny -.-

Johannes wanted me to introduce him to what I think are the best things to do in Singapore, so i happily stuffed him with food THE WHOLE DAY. Haha i hope i'm just imagining things because when he left my place he had the "OMG i am so full i can't really walk" air about him.

It's really fun to be seeing Singapore through the eyes of a foreigner. I am more often than not very pleasantly surprised (and baffled) as to how they can love our country so much. "The food is great, the people are great, transport is great, the culture is great, the weather is great, everything is just great!" Personally i could only connect with the "food is great" part. You could imagine the horrified faces that Alycia and I gave him when he said "I love the weather here, I don't want to go back to all the snow in Germany!" I was internally rolling my eyes and my heart was going "WTH i would give anything to have that thick layer of snow around me now!!!"

Didn't even know Johannes that well in Germany (only met him twice over there), but i know enough to deduce that he has such a great personality! He's just so appreciative about the things and events and people around him, so open to new situations and challenges, I guess that's what brought him here in the first place. I swear my parents were beaming from ear to ear while he devoured the dinner that they prepared for him, and he even took the liberty to pack the leftover home HAHAHA i like such behaviour! I have to admit i actually felt a sharp pang of reluctance to see him leave that night, it's the same sort of feeling, the familiar sense of sadness that comes with every goodbye which i have experienced so many times in Stuttgart.

Anyway there was this part in the Botanic Gardens when the 4 of us were just chatting when some random Caucasian (who had been eavesdropping on us) came over and told us "Yes, Germany is indeed a great country". And so we asked him where he's from and he said "Stuttgart" and the 4 of us just excitedly screamed "STUTTGARTTTTTTT!" in unison. At that brief moment there were 5 people together in a small part of a small garden in a small country who all have fond memories of a faraway place in Europe. That was just beautiful :')

Looking forward to meeting you for dinner next week Johannes! We're having BUFFFFETTTTT!!!

I see you.

We finally watched Avatar in 3D! *shoots a victorious look at Kenny*

I love octopus!

There was this little saga over dinner whereby i suffered a SUDDEN ATTACK of throat inflammation and my whole face just turned red and there were tears in my eyes and Hilz just looked damn shocked and scared and I kept gulping water down but it wasn't of much help and i was VERY SURE that i was going to faint because my whole throat was burning and i just couldn't speak for a very long time and it was just a very frightening feeling for me. I've never had anything like this before! What's the matter, is this a sign for me to stop eating so much? But other than the mini-saga all else was good.

HAHAHAHAHAH cool photo, definitely disp pic material (;
Hilz had to take off her 3D specs halfway because she felt that everything was so real and beautiful and she was so overwhelmed and afraid that if she watched anymore she would go into depression like how some people reportedly did.

I really love all the late-night talks with Ellse and my counterpart. Basically we talk about everything serious and everything frivolous. Basically I am just happy i made a new friend out of this otherwise damned semester.

LIFE IS INTERESTING WHEN ONE OF YOUR GIRLS IS THE SMARTEST AND THE OTHER IS THE STUPIDEST.

FOR MY BAOBEI.

HOW TO SURVIVE AFTER ERASMUS.

1) don't think of all the money you spent for alcohol or in clubs : with that money you could probably buy a new car.

2) keep on partying with your friends : organize theme parties, crazy parties, alternative parties; but make them always in your friends' flat.

3) if you still live with your parents, run away as soon as possible before committing murder.

4) bring your Erasmus spirit among your friends : get them drunk of independence, dissipation and fun. But after that find a good job.

5) Join Erasmusu, the social network for Erasmus and exchange students: http://erasmusu.com. Write your experience in the city and try not to cry seeing the party photos of the new erasmus. Well, maybe you will meet some erasmus in your hometown.

6) If you're living in a big city plenty of boosts you're lucky and you won't have big problems to settle down again, but if you're living in a small village or in a dead city well...that's your own f*cking business.

7) Whenever you're down and you would like to come back to your Erasmus life, stop for a moment : have a look to the pictures and to the videos of your experience and feel lucky for what you've done : it's not common.

8) find somebody to whom speaking English !

9) Join groups and organizations to meet new Erasmus students, such as ESN.

10) go to Erasmus parties and try to meet other Erasmus students in your city.

11) Erasmus students generally come back home in December/January or in May/June: for the first group I'm sorry but you'll get the syndrome. For the second : enjoy the summer at least !

12) Carpe diem.

13) don't be surprised if on Erasmus you had the sexual activity of a porn star, while in your city everybody suddenly look like chaste and pure.

14) start studying the languages of which you learned only swearwords.

15) plan immediately your next experience abroad : stage/internship abroad, overseas programme etc.

16) Plan with your Erasmus friends a meeting : it will be like a second Erasmus!

Skipped school today for a nice dayout with mom.
So we had our pedicure plus ice-cream at udders (STRAWBERRY FIELDS! DURIAN!!!! CHOCOLATE!) followed by a deeply tiring shopping trip and then finally dinner at where else but my favourite ION.

We should really do this more often!!!!!

However a whole day of slacking resulted in me still toiling through literature review at 3am in the night. But it's okay, i'm LR queen, and my group is so gonna get a big fat A for this.

PS: I have NO IDEA why my laptop is refusing to start again. :( Seems like it is very fond of giving me ONE BIG PROBLEM PER SEMESTER. Once again i am regretting procrastinating for so long and not backing up my Germany photos. Okay i know many of you are probably staring at these words unsympathetically now because WHO DOESN'T BACK UP HER PRECIOUS PHOTOS given so much time right. Gosh i SWEAR if it survives this round I WILL buy 500GB worth of storage space and back up
